Excel Physical Therapy is seeking an experienced Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist who wants the time, independence, and professional autonomy to provide exceptional patient care.

We offer something increasingly difficult to find in outpatient physical therapy: a truly one-on-one treatment model.

Every patient receives a 60-minute private treatment session with their physical therapist. No double-booking. No overlapping patients. No bouncing between treatment tables.

With a maximum of 36 patients per week , our therapists have the time to focus on providing excellent care rather than simply increasing patient volume.

Our ideal full-time schedule is:

Tuesday–Friday | Four 10-hour days

Maintain a full-time clinical position while enjoying a consistent three-day weekend .

$85,000–$105,000 Salary

Competitive annual salary based on experience, qualifications, and clinical expertise.

BCBS PPO Health Insurance

Excel Physical Therapy covers 50% of the premium for available BCBS PPO health insurance plans.

$1,500 Annual Continuing-Education Benefit + Paid Course Days

We want our therapists to continue developing their clinical expertise.

Full-time therapists receive up to $1,500 per year toward approved continuing-education courses , plus paid time off for the days required to attend those courses.

We believe professional development should be supported with both the financial resources and the time necessary to pursue it.

Clinical Autonomy

You will have significant independence in evaluating patients, establishing plans of care, selecting interventions, and progressing patients based on your clinical judgment.

We want experienced clinicians who are confident practicing independently—not therapists who need to follow a corporate treatment formula.

• Acute orthopedic injuries

• Spine conditions
• Upper- and lower-extremity injuries
• Overuse injuries
• Post-operative rehabilitation
• Return-to-sport and return-to-activity rehabilitation

We are looking for a therapist who enjoys treating the person—not simply the diagnosis.

Your Responsibilities

You will independently manage your patients from initial evaluation through discharge.

Clinical responsibilities include performing comprehensive orthopedic and movement-based evaluations; developing individualized, evidence-informed plans of care; providing manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional and sports-specific training, and dry needling; progressing patients toward their functional, occupational, recreational, and athletic goals; and communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

Independence Is an Important Part of This Position

Our therapists have substantial autonomy—and with that autonomy comes responsibility.

In addition to treating your patients, you will manage your own patient schedule and billing responsibilities.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing your patient schedule
• Scheduling and coordinating follow-up appointments
• Completing accurate and timely documentation
• Ensuring appropriate billing and coding for services provided
• Managing your individual caseload
• Maintaining communication with patients throughout their course of care
• Taking ownership of the patient experience from evaluation through discharge

This position is best suited for someone who is organized, self-directed, dependable, and comfortable working independently.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Physical Therapist license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience
• Dry Needling certification strongly preferred
• Strong orthopedic examination and clinical reasoning skills
• Strong manual therapy and therapeutic exercise background
• Experience treating a diverse orthopedic and musculoskeletal caseload
• Ability to independently develop and progress individualized plans of care
• Strong documentation, billing, and organizational skills
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability and desire to work independently

A strong sports and orthopedic background and experience treating athletes and active individuals are preferred.
