Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Inverness, Florida. Join a well-supported, recently renovated emergency department serving a high-acuity adult population in a modern and efficient setting.

Position Overview:

• Annual ED Volume: 45,000 visits
• Shift Coverage:
• 36 hours of physician coverage per day
• 40 hours of APP (Advanced Practice Provider) coverage per day
• Patient Population: Predominantly adult and geriatric
• Low pediatric volume (~6%)
• No trauma designation
• No OB/GYN
• EMR: Cerner
• Bed Count: 28 private and bariatric-capable rooms

• Strong hospitalist support team for admissions and inpatient care
• Designated Stroke Center with tele-neurology currently being implemented
• High acuity adult volume with access to advanced imaging and specialty support

Requirements:

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
• Active Florida medical license or ability to obtain
• DEA license
• Experience working in high-volume EDs preferred
• Comfortable managing a wide range of emergency presentations in a non-trauma setting
