Adult Outpatient Mental Health Therapist

Job Overview Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a General Outpatient Therapist (QMHP) to provide integrated behavioral health services using training and experience in evidence‑based practices for adults with co‑occurring mental health conditions such as serious mental illness, trauma disorders, and/or moderate mental health conditions. Duties will include providing treatment to assigned clients, diagnosis and treatment planning activities, maintaining accurate treatment records, effective case management, while working closely with an integrated behavioral health team. We are actively working on being a trauma‑informed agency. This position provides a great opportunity for professional development and advancement in clinical skills. This position may be filled as either an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician or a Behavioral Health Clinician, depending on experience and credentialing. Salary Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician: $6,450 – $8,171 per month (DOE) Behavioral Health Clinician: $5,925 – $7,571 per month (DOE) Benefits 15 paid holidays per year. 19.5 days of Flexible Earned Time (FET) accrual in the first year (based on an 8‑hr day). PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) – 100% employer contributions. Full health benefit offerings with employee premiums starting as low as $70.18 per month for PPA or $0 per month for HMO during the 2025‑2026 plan year.

Subject to the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement (7/1/2023 – 6/30/2026). Qualifications Required: MSW or master’s degree in a social services field from an accredited school. Behavioral Health Clinician One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I or equivalent combination of experience and training. Must qualify as a QMHP to work in the field; may require licensing. Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician Three years post‑master’s experience. Active professional license in Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP). Preference given to applicants with training and experience in evidence‑based practices and intensive mental health and addictions services in a community‑based setting, fluency in English and Spanish, and an NPI number. Successful completion of a background check required. Candidate Profile Understanding of behavior of people under stress. Ability to develop and maintain effective cooperative relationships with clients, families, community partners, and professionals. Skill in interpreting community mental health and chemical dependency services, preparing concise and complete treatment and progress records. Typing and computer proficiency. Excellent communication, dependable, organized, self‑directed, detail-oriented, and collaborative. Employees must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodation.
