This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer! Location: This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Englewood or Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. What does this role look like? The new Software Engineer will support the LE2 Program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong software engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM! Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Support the EGSE Organization as a software engineer.
• You will support modernization efforts geared toward achieving greater efficiency, security, automation and scalability
• You will collaborate with an enthusiastic team of software, systems, electrical and test engineers using the Agile Development methodology.
• Coordinate with the product line manager and directorates to support needs.

To be effective in this role, you will need:

• Programming experience in one or more of the following: C/C++, LabView, Python, Java, TestStand
• 3+ years of professional experience for this role.
• You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Desired skills:

• Experience in simulation software development, software testing and validation, and software configuration management
• Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP)
• Experience working with RF
• Experience with multiple OS platforms such as Linux and Windows
• Systems thinking mindset
• Experience with Agile and DevOps processes and culture
• Experience with Jira or other Atlassian tool sets
• Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
• Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $76,500 - $134,895. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
