Job Title: RN - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Preferred, ACLS Nice to Have Description: Travel opportunity for an RN specializing in Med/Surg. Unit Information: Medical Acute Care with 26 beds. Staffing includes a Charge Nurse, four RNs, and three Patient Care Technicians on day shift. Night shift includes a Charge Nurse, four RNs, and two Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios are 6:1. Equipment utilized includes Baxter IV pumps and SCD machines. EMR system used is Meditech. Candidates must have a minimum of one year of current Med/Surg acute care hospital experience. Preferred candidates will have ACLS certification. The unit is high energy and welcomes new teammates. The focus is on patient care experience, with a hardworking and fun team dynamic. Typical procedures performed include care for medical patients and administration of drips such as heparin. Post-operative care for radial cardiac catheterization is also common.
