Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for CDL A Truck Driver Route Delivery to work in Topeka, KS. Compensation - Average Annual Salary $85,000 to $100,000 plus per year which includes: - Training pay $40.00 per hour. - After training activity-based pay (miles, stops, etc.). - Tenured drivers making up to $130,000 per year. - Typically work 48-52 hours per week. - Weekly paychecks Benefits - Eligibility starts on FIRST DAY OF WORK! - 401(k); 401(k) matching - Health, Vision, Dental insurance - Disability insurance - Employee stock purchase plan - Tuition reimbursement - PTO (Personal and Vacation Days) - Paid Holidays - Career advancement opportunities Work Schedule - Typically home daily but some overnights, approximately 20% of the time. - This is a 24/7 delivery operation; some routes include weekends and/or Holidays. - Days and start times will vary; work until work is completed, typically 10-14 hours per day. - Routes awarded by bidding board daily, based on seniority; typically takes 1-2 years to access most desirable routes. - Approximately 1-3 layovers per week; overnight stay in company paid hotel. - Make 2-10 stops per day; Routes cover surrounding states. - Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needs. Responsibilities - Route delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart - Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to warehouses and end-users - Drive CDL A day cabs with 53' trailers to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations - Secure pallets using straps. Strap and unstrap at each delivery. - Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections - Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance - Provide excellent customer service - Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle - Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers Requirements - Minimum 21 years of age. - Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, with air brakes endorsement. - Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen. - Minimum 100,000 miles and/or 1 year CDL A driving experience required. - Prior local route delivery experience highly preferred, including l ocal, multiple-stop delivery using hand-cart, ramp, pallet jack preferred. - Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses - Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors - Legally eligible to work in the U.S. - Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English - Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical - Be able to lift, push, pull 15-20 pounds with no assistance
