We are looking to invite two full-time passionate and dedicated full-time Clinical Counselor to join our mission-driven team during the daytime and/or evenings and help make a meaningful impact every day. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides all core functions as defined by Addiction Professionals of South Carolina (APSC). Acquires and maintains credentialing as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC-IP or ADC) through SCAADAC. Follows the SCAADAC code of ethics. Maintains patient record in compliance with all governing bodies to include, DAODAS, DHEC, CARF and DHHS (Medicaid). Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of ASAM PPC2-R and DSM 5 criteria for substance use disorders. Observes, trains, and becomes proficient in all treatment programs. Works within various programs to provide staff coverage of group, individual, or assessment sessions. Participates as a Peer Review Auditor when requested. Remains current by attending Safety Trainings, mandatory trainings/licensure, and receiving an annual TB screening. Proficiency with MS Office applications and Medical Records software applications, emails, etc. Administer the GPRA and follow up forms at appropriate times. Maintains a caseload and other duties assigned by Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited program preferred, bachelor’s degree in human service-related field from a regionally accredited program required (such as counseling, social work, or psychology). Other degrees will be considered based on relevance to position and acceptability to DAODAS/SCAADAC for credentialing purposes. Provisional certification as an alcohol and drug counselor by an agency approved association is required postemployment. Related work experience is desirable. CERTIFICATIONS: Clinical Counselor I: Provisional certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ADC-IP/AADC-IP) by SCAADAC is required post-employment.
