Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care and clinical support in a specialized hematology clinic.
This clinic serves patients with sickle cell disease and thrombosis disorders.
Responsibilities include conducting patient intake assessments.
The LPN is responsible for obtaining and documenting vital signs.
They administer vaccines and perform point-of-care testing.
Collecting laboratory specimens is also part of their duties.
The LPN assists with care coordination to ensure effective patient management.
Accurate documentation is vital for patient care.
Supporting patient education is an essential aspect of the role.
