Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities and managing pain, while enhancing muscle function to maximize patient capabilities.
• Oversee and assist physical therapy assistants, ensuring seamless execution of treatment protocols as outlined in the individualized plan of care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional levels utilizing diagnostic modalities including muscle, nerve, and joint assessments.
• Analyze the patient's home environment, offering recommendations tailored to enhance independence during rehabilitation.
• Deliver in-depth physical therapy services in compliance with prescribed medical directives from physicians.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and provide patient education on non-manual exercises to inspire client engagement in their treatment.
• Administer various treatment modalities, including traction and massage, and apply physical agents to support recovery efforts.
• Evaluate, fit, and adapt prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary, offering modifications to physicians when required.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team discussions to ensure comprehensive treatment and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation, including initial evaluations and progress notes, contributing to the patient's clinical record.
• Regularly review and update care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, actively conveying any concerns regarding patient progress to healthcare providers.
• Provide timely and efficient administrative support by submitting all necessary orders and documentation according to branch protocols.
• Consult with clients and their families, offering guidance on the physical therapy process and devices utilized in treatment.
• Complete relevant assessments and adjust treatment plans based on community resource utilization as required by each patient.
• Stay accessible to supervise physical therapy assistants during client treatments, ensuring consistency and quality in care delivery.
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned to advance departmental objectives and enhance patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with diverse patient populations, including those recovering from surgery, dealing with chronic pain, and those requiring rehabilitation following injury or illness. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess valid and current PT licensure in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.
• A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience in a physical therapy role, ideally within an acute care or home care context.

Compensation and Benefits
