Special Education Teacher in Grove City, OH

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment near Grove City, OH! This contract position is perfect for dedicated educators eager to foster growth and success for students in grades 5th through 8th. You will support a caseload of 15 students with mild to moderate needs, empowering them every step of the way from the start of the 2026-2027 academic year.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Current and valid teaching certification in Special Education for the state of Ohio
Experience working with 5th-8th grade students preferred
Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

Provide targeted instruction and support to students with mild to moderate exceptionalities
Develop, review, and implement effective IEPs in collaboration with families and school staff
Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to support individual learning plans
Monitor and document student progress, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that celebrates every student’s strengths and progress

You will enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $40 and the security of weekly pay through the duration of your contract, from August 19, 2026, to May 21, 2027.
