Field Service Technician I – Cleveland, PA CPI is a leading payment technology company headquartered in Malvern, PA, serving customers worldwide. What you’ll be doing The Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing, fixing, upgrading, and performing preventative maintenance on electromechanical equipment such as coin & currency equipment, ATM’s, software, and specialized office products located at client sites in Cleveland and surrounding area. Work in coordination with branch sales and other service team members. Service, upgrade, and perform preventative maintenance on company electromechanical equipment. Travel by vehicle daily to client sites (90%) with overnight travel as needed (10%) – some long drive times depend on geographic territory covered. Work with branch employees to satisfy client needs. Address customer service requests within the specified contract response time. Extended hours coverage periods and ‘on‑call’ duty where applicable. Safeguard and maintain a balanced vehicle parts inventory. Upkeep and cleanliness of company‑issued vehicle, including scheduled service intervals. Safeguard any company‑issued assets including tablet computer and mobile phone. All other duties as required. Who we’re looking for Impeccable integrity. 1+ year’s experience as a technician, field service, mechanical role or similar profession. Ability to gain access to highly secured environments; occupational licenses may be necessary depending on territory/accounts. Strong electromechanical aptitude is a plus not a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a positive, customer‑first attitude. Personable, approachable, and able to work easily with others at all levels. Strong attention to detail—able to proof and prioritize your own work. Proficient in iOS, MS Office, and Windows OS. Ability to set and track goals independently, initiate and follow through on assignments without coaching, and work proactively as a team player. Commitment to meet project deadlines. Physical requirements Available for periodic travel to our corporate office in Mt. Prospect, IL for training classes. Able to lift, push, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds (e.g., large money counting machines and parts). Job requires kneeling, bending, twisting, lifting, and squatting to service equipment on the ground up to 60% of the time. Hand and wrist dexterity needed to turn screwdrivers and place parts and equipment. Phone or desk work about 10% of the time (computer work, bench repair, parts stocking, tracking service calls, setting appointments). Ability to stand for long periods up to 75% of the time while servicing some equipment.
