Construction Project Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Civil Project Manager will represent the owner and oversee civil, structural, and architectural scope for a large-scale, multi-building data center campus in Charlotte, NC. This individual will coordinate site and building infrastructure from design development through construction, quality verification, closeout, and operational turnover. The Civil PM will oversee scope including site development, grading, earthwork, stormwater and drainage, underground utilities, foundations, concrete, structural steel, equipment pads/supports, building envelope, roofing, waterproofing, and architectural construction. They will review drawings, specifications, submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, inspection reports, testing results, and field conditions while coordinating closely with civil contractors, structural contractors, architectural trades, design consultants, testing agencies, utilities, and MEP teams. This person will own schedule, cost, quality, risk, change, constructability, field coordination, deficiencies, and closeout within the assigned CSA scope. They must be comfortable working in the field and proactively resolving issues that cross technical disciplines.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 7+ years of experience delivering civil, structural, architectural, or closely related scope on large capital projects

• Strong technical expertise in at least one major Civil/Structural/Architectural discipline, with the ability to coordinate across the overall CSA package

• Experience with large-scale site development and/or vertical construction

• Experience managing scope through design, procurement, construction, quality verification, closeout, and turnover

• Ability to review civil/structural/architectural drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and inspection documentation

• Experience managing contractors, consultants, testing agencies, and trade partners

• Experience owning schedule, cost, quality, risk, and change

• Experience coordinating CSA scope with MEP, utilities, and other building systems

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent hands-on experience may be considered

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Hyperscale or enterprise data center experience

• Experience with site utilities, earthwork, drainage, foundations, structural concrete, structural steel, or building envelope

• Advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, or mission-critical project experience

• Multi-building campus experience

• Fast-track design-build experience

• Owner’s representative experience

• PE, SE, RA, CCM, or PMP certification

• Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, or BIM/VDC experience
