Chemical OperatorsAerotek is hiring Chemical Operators for a company located in West Memphis, AR. These positions are direct hire opportunities paying $22-$28/hr depending on experience (with room to grow). Must be available to work a rotating shift Monday-Friday - 7AM-7PM then the next week 7PM-7AM Monday-Thursday.ResponsibilitiesMonitor tank levels using indicators, gauge glasses, measuring tapes, and related equipment to ensure accurate and safe operation.Load and unload trucks, including making proper tank connections and verifying accurate vehicle weights.Load and unload rail cars in accordance with established operating procedures and safety guidelines.Perform basic testing such as pH, density, and alkalinity measurements to verify product quality and process conditions.Adjust gas flow to maintain proper evaporator temperatures and collect evaporator samples as required.Operate forklifts and loaders safely and efficiently to move raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.Charge solid raw materials from bags, supersacks, drums, and bulk storage systems into the process as specified.Fill drums and tote containers to specified weights, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation where required.Apply basic process chemistry knowledge, including understanding the properties of acids, bases, and solvents during daily operations.Essential SkillsHands-on chemical processing or chemical production experience.Experience operating forklifts and similar material handling equipment safely and efficiently.Ability to monitor tank levels using gauges, indicators, and measuring devices.Capability to load and unload trucks and rail cars following established procedures.Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in a production and material handling environment.Ability to work effectively in a higher-noise, industrial environment and around outdoor elements.Why Work Here?You will join a team that invests in your growth through structured training and clear career development opportunities.
