Training Coordinator – Operations & Compliance

Location: Wilmington, CA
Pay: $24.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
Assignment: Minimum 3-month assignment with potential for extension

 

Position Summary

 

We are seeking a hands-on Training Coordinator to support employee training and compliance initiatives within a fast-paced Operations environment.

This role will be responsible for coordinating employee training, following up on training completion, maintaining training records, and ensuring employees remain current on required SOP, safety, and operational training. The ideal candidate has previous experience supporting or coordinating workplace training and is comfortable working directly with employees, supervisors, and Operations leadership to keep training requirements on schedule.

While this position includes administrative responsibilities, the primary focus is employee training coordination, training compliance, and record management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Coordinate and track required employee SOP and Operations training
• Work directly with employees and supervisors to schedule and complete required training
• Follow up with employees regarding outstanding, incomplete, or upcoming training requirements
• Maintain and update the employee training matrix in Excel
• Track training completion dates, certifications, retraining requirements, and compliance deadlines
• Assist with coordinating and documenting safety training and operational training
• Support small-group or individual training sessions as needed
• Prepare training materials, sign-in sheets, employee records, and supporting documentation
• Maintain organized and audit-ready training files
• Assist Operations leadership in identifying employees who are overdue or approaching training deadlines
• Support training documentation needed for internal, client, and FDA audits
• Provide administrative support for quality control and internal audit activities
• Maintain pest control compliance documentation, including Orkin service records
• Coordinate CHEP pallet orders as needed
• Assist with additional Operations and Facilities projects as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

• Previous experience as a Training Coordinator, Training Administrator, Learning & Development Coordinator, Onboarding Coordinator, Compliance Coordinator, or similar role preferred
• Experience coordinating employee training in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, food, or operations environment is highly desirable
• Comfortable communicating with employees and supervisors to ensure training is completed on time
• Experience maintaining training matrices, training records, certification logs, or compliance trackers
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills
• Ability to manage multiple employees, training requirements, and deadlines simultaneously
• Comfortable working with both office staff and operational employees
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation
• Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred
