Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred, can consider candidates with 2 years of experience License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM Must-Have: Charting experience with EPIC Description: We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. This position involves caring for childbearing women and newborns, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. The unit handles complex high-risk patients, with a significant percentage categorized as high risk. Nights will typically require a nurse-patient ratio of 1:1. The facility supports a high volume of births each month. You will be expected to assist with various procedures including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries. Additionally, you will provide support with breastfeeding and lactation. Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal care is beneficial. Floating to mother-baby and antepartum units may be required. Candidates should be able to circulate during cesarean sections. Special consideration will be given to those with prior critical care experience. The nursing team works collaboratively with multiple interdisciplinary support services. Strong assessment skills and the ability to support laboring patients are essential. Commitment to high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
