Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Production SupervisorPL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods. The Production Supervisor will supervise the day-to-day operations of a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production processes, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with safety regulations. This role involves optimizing resources and collaborating with various departments to achieve operational goals. The role may require work outside scheduled hours to accommodate project deadlines and operational needs. Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 9:30pm-6:30am (additional hours as needed)JOB QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalency required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred5+ years of experience of working in a manufacturing environment (Pharmaceutical exp. preferred)At least three years of experience as a supervisorWorking knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs) preferredProven ability to effectively lead while constantly raising the bar for quality and productivityAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentComputer skills utilizing MS office, word, and ExcelMust possess exceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and problem-solving skillsBilingual in Spanish, preferredPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides support by directing and coaching, supervisors and team leads to achieve division of objectives and production goalsPlan flow of materials through departmentsCommunicate properly and adequately to all personnel levels to ensure the production deadlines are metMonitor performance indicatorsEnsure that the production area adheres to schedules and carries out all necessary activities to ensure the timely availability of products for the production floorMonitor and control production processes to achieve optimal output and minimize downtimeEnsure the efficient use of resources, including materials and laborIdentify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction by partnering with Quality Assurance, Mechanics, and Industrial EngineersImplement and enforce production schedules and quality standardsProvide instruction or coordinate training for team members on all relevant, updated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situationsCoordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize material availabilityUphold safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team membersInvestigate and report safety incidents to EHS Specialist and Operations ManagementImplement corrective actionsMaintain and enforce quality control / quality assurance procedures to ensure products meet required specificationsResponds quickly to all oral and written communication such accident reports, deviation reports. vacation and sick request, and absence reportsCreate and investigate operational deviations and determine root cause/CAPA's with implementation strategiesPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Required to stand for long periods of time in production environment and/or working at a desk on a computer for long periods of timeCapable of frequently lifting and carrying items weighing 25–45 lbs. in a production environmentSome exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active chemical raw materials or ingredients is possibleMust be able to wear proper gowning and PPE in production areas, as required, to meet GMP and/or OSHA requirementsBENEFITS:PLD is a proud equal opportunity employer offering many corporate benefits, including: Medical and Dental Benefits Vision 401K with employer match Group Life Insurance Flex Spending Accounts Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Tuition Assistance Corporate Discount Program Opportunities to Flourish Within the CompanyPL Developments is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
