Playground Monitor
SYLVANIA CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Job Title
Job Goal: To relieve the teaching staff members of various non-professional tasks and assist with other activities that are primarily non-instructional in nature.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Demonstrated record of successful employment.
- Previous experience working with elementary school children.
- Demonstrated ability to use good judgment.
- Valid CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate is required.
- Valid Educational Aide Permit is required.
- Must complete all training as required by Sylvania Schools and/or the Ohio Department of Education.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students on the playground and maintain a safe atmosphere.
- Organize group games and activities.
- Assume responsibility for playground and equipment.
- Supervise movement of students to and from the playground.
- Responsible to enter personal absences on Red Rover and Time Clock Plus.
- Responsible to check your district email account on a regular basis, and to communicate as needed via district email.
- Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as necessary to assure successful daily operation of the elementary building.
