Playground Monitor

Job Title

Job Goal: To relieve the teaching staff members of various non-professional tasks and assist with other activities that are primarily non-instructional in nature.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Demonstrated record of successful employment.
• Previous experience working with elementary school children.
• Demonstrated ability to use good judgment.
• Valid CPR Certificate/First Aid Certificate is required.
• Valid Educational Aide Permit is required.
• Must complete all training as required by Sylvania Schools and/or the Ohio Department of Education.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise students on the playground and maintain a safe atmosphere.
2. Organize group games and activities.
3. Assume responsibility for playground and equipment.
4. Supervise movement of students to and from the playground.
5. Responsible to enter personal absences on Red Rover and Time Clock Plus.
6. Responsible to check your district email account on a regular basis, and to communicate as needed via district email.
7. Perform such other tasks and assume such other responsibilities as necessary to assure successful daily operation of the elementary building.
