Registered Dietitian - Almara, Edina

The Registered Dietitian plans nutritional programs and provides education to assist in the promotion of health and management of disease. Temporary role up to full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, open to 3, 4, or 5 days in clinic out of our Edina location. Almara Women’s Health is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential Functions Provide direct patient care using medical nutrition therapy and diabetes self‑management education for an assigned patient population Provide counseling and education services to patients with diabetes, obesity and other indications that require nutritional management: Provide nutrition education to patients and their family or support Evaluate patient and family response to education Implement an individualized nutritional care plan with communication of the plan to the provider; establish a follow‑up system and maintain documentation Collaborate in the development, review, updating and implementation of educational materials to meet the needs of patients and health professionals Utilize approved protocols for medication management to advance the plan of care when appropriate Collaborate with other health‑care providers in the management and care delivery of patients per protocol and as needed to deliver the highest quality patient care Communicate regularly with MDs and APPs to best implement high quality nutrition programs Partner with providers and leaders to ensure the goals and strategies of Women’s Health are implemented in the growth and development of nutrition services Practice within the scope of MN State rules and regulations Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff Any and all other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an institution credentialed by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Completed ACEND‑accredited supervised practice program Licensed Dietitian through the Minnesota Board of Dietetics and Nutrition Practice Certified as a Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credentialing preferred or experience in management of patients with diabetes Benefits & Compensation Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience. Setting Clinic Essential Requirements Ability to: Comply with company policies, procedures, practices and business ethics guidelines. Complete job required training. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.) Demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance. Work in the clinic during business hours. Travel independently throughout the clinic (which may include movement from floor to floor); frequent bending, lifting, standing, stooping or sitting for long periods of time may be required. Work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines. Communicate and interact in a respectful and professional manner. Prioritize workload while being flexible to meet the expectations of the daily operations. Apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Understand and execute a variety of instructions. Effectively operate equipment and communicate on and operate the phone system. Work independently with minimal supervision.
