Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license in hand at time of submittal, or valid compact license with proof provided
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, with experience required to be the most recent specialty worked
• Labor and Delivery specialty experience within the last year
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• One supervisory reference required at time of submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with NIH stroke education requirements applicable to acute care RN roles
• Experience managing time-off requests proactively and maintaining consistent availability throughout a contract assignment
