Responsibilities Develop and maintain positive relationships for our top-tier clients through effective collaboration with internal Paychex operational departments and vendors. Act as the key advocate and foster efficiencies and revenue growth within the client relationship. Advocate for client deliverables and drive the business results and Paychex strategy for their clients. Facilitate the management and strategic service of assigned accounts. Proactively build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key client stakeholders by understanding their business objectives and strategic goals. Serve as a consultative partner, delivering tailored recommendations and advisory services to drive client success and maximize utilization of Paychex solutions. Demonstrate adaptability, strong communication, and effective time management to prioritize client needs, deliver high-quality service, and support retention and growth. Drive customer revenue growth by identifying upsell/cross‑sell opportunities for Paychex products and solutions and sending referrals to internal partners. Respond to client communication (phone, emails) in a timely, professional manner to resolve escalated issues, including payroll and ancillary product matters, product “how‑to” inquiries, training needs, and system issues. Identify and analyze major trends or issues and assume responsibility for resolution or escalation to management to ensure ongoing client satisfaction and revenue retention. Conduct client visits for current clients, both for those experiencing difficulties or upon client request, to maintain and/or strengthen client relationships. Serve as the coordination and communication channel lead for internal Paychex departments, acting as liaison to resolve client issues regarding payroll and ancillary products. Provide clients and management teams with regular reporting, communication, and status updates to ensure client satisfaction. Analyze data to identify present and future performance gaps and trends; translate gaps and organizational needs into an action plan. Plan, coordinate, and implement client activities and strategic programs for Paychex. Partner with sales, training departments, internal departments, and operations to ensure client satisfaction and education on our products. Maintain knowledge of industries, relevant systems, and Paychex product offerings, as well as changes in federal, state, and local wage tax law and policies. Location & Travel This is a hybrid role that requires a combination of remote work and local travel. Candidates must reside within the designated territory they will cover. The role involves remote work on designated office days (e.g., administrative tasks, virtual meetings) and travel to client sites within the assigned territory for in‑person meetings and service delivery. Applicants must have reliable transportation and be comfortable managing their schedule to accommodate both remote and on‑site responsibilities. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree - Preferred 2 years of experience in Account Management. 4 years of experience in Account Management, Sales, or high-level customer service with mid‑market clients. Compensation The compensation range for this position is typically between $59,626 and $93,698. This range includes base pay but does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. Overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience, which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
