Marketing & Communications ManagerAre you a hands-on marketing and communications professional who can set strategy and execute it yourself? Thundermist Health Center is looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager to serve as the sole functional owner of our brand, digital presence, and organizational voice. You'll set the strategic direction for marketing and communications while personally carrying out the day-to-day work — designing graphics, managing social media, updating the website, drafting executive messaging, and coordinating community events. If you're energized by mission-driven work and want to shape how a community health center shows up in the world, this is your role.What You'll DoStrategy & Brand LeadershipSet and own Thundermist's marketing and communications strategy, aligned to organizational priorities and community health missionDevelop and maintain the annual marketing/communications plan with measurable goals, timelines, and success metricsServe as a strategic thought partner to executive leadership on brand positioning, messaging, and reputational mattersMaintain Thundermist's branding guidelines, stylebook, photo library, and intranet (SharePoint) as the authoritative sources for organizational identityDraft executive remarks, organizational announcements, and internal messaging for key organizational momentsSupport internal communications and employee engagement across departments, in partnership with HR and executive leadershipDigital, Design & ContentDirect social media strategy and execution across all Thundermist channels, including content calendar, community engagement, and performance measurementManage graphic design, video, and photo content production, ensuring brand consistency and qualityManage Thundermist's website and digital presence (WordPress), including content updates, landing pages, and SEO fundamentalsCommunity & External RelationsCoordinate community events and external representation opportunities that advance Thundermist's visibility and community relationshipsRepresent Thundermist professionally at community coalitions, partner events, and public forums as appropriateWhat We're Looking ForYou're equal parts strategist and doer — comfortable presenting a brand plan to the executive team in the morning and designing an Instagram carousel in the afternoon. You work independently, manage competing priorities across departments, and bring strong creative instincts grounded in data. You care about community health and want your work to mean something.Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field — or equivalent experience5+ years of progressive marketing/communications experience with demonstrated experience developing and owning a strategic planProficiency in graphic design and video production; experienced with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and WordPressProficient with social media management (Meta Business Suite) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp)Working knowledge of web analytics and SEO tools including Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google AdsFamiliarity with AI tools and strong project management skills across multiple departments and stakeholdersExcellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal oversightPreferred:Healthcare, community health center, or FQHC experienceExperience with media relations, press releases, and reputational/crisis communications — or an interest in growing these skillsCompensation$70,470 – $105,706 annually | Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.Schedule & LocationsThis is a full-time (40 hours/week), benefit-eligible hybrid role — three days on-site at a Thundermist location, remaining days remote. Availability for evenings and weekends is required as needed to support community events and organizational communications needs.
