We are excited to announce an immediate opening for a Respiratory Therapist or Respiratory Care Assistant at Black River Health. This position is primarily based at the Hospital Campus in our Respiratory Care department. Don’t miss out on the chance to be part of our growing team!
- SHIFT: Full-time, Day Shift Weekender; 72 hours per pay period, benefited
- BONUS: Full-time Licensed Weekenders earn a 33% bonus on all weekend hours worked, paid each pay period! This is a great way to increase your earnings while providing essential weekend care.

The Respiratory Therapist plans and provides comprehensive patient care, manages available nursing resources, and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide quality, cost-effective patient care.
Essential Duties: SEE ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION
Educational Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care required
- Respiratory Therapist (RRT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with one year to complete Registry exam
- BLS upon hire
- NRP certification within 3 months of hire
- ACLS and PALS within 1 year of hire
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the state of Wisconsin
RESPIRATORY CARE ASSISTANT : GAIN EXPERIENCE WHILE COMPLETING YOUR DEGREE – ASK US ABOUT: FLEXIBLE HOURS WHILE FINISHING YOUR DEGREE
Provides clinical support to Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) in delivering safe and effective respiratory care to patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Works under direct and indirect supervision of an RRT to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality patient care while gaining supervised clinical experience aligned with an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Educational Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and have completed their first year of coursework and are expected to complete all program requirements—courses and clinical rotations—within the next six (6) months
- Must be in good standing, meaning you meet all academic and clinical requirements and are not on academic or disciplinary probation
- BLS certification is required within 3 months of hire
