Performance Improvement Analyst

Patient Care Provides high-quality direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assists with activities of daily living, vital signs, specimen collection, EKGs, glucose monitoring, and other delegated patient care activities. Accurately documents patient information according to hospital policy. Communicates changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team. Clinical Analytics & Data Management Develops, maintains, and updates Excel dashboards, reports, and data trackers. Performs data collection, validation, and trend analysis for nursing quality indicators. Creates pivot tables, charts, formulas, conditional formatting, and automated reports. Assists leadership with monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Falls Pressure injuries Patient satisfaction Staffing productivity Overtime utilization Patient throughput Quality and safety metrics Identifies trends and opportunities for operational improvement. Supports preparation of reports for nursing leadership meetings, quality committees, and regulatory surveys. Operational Support Assists with scheduling reports, staffing analysis, and productivity monitoring. Supports process improvement initiatives using Lean, PDSA, or A3 methodologies. Maintains confidential databases and ensures data accuracy. Collaborates with nursing leadership, quality, infection prevention, finance, and clinical departments on performance improvement projects. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Technician certification preferred. Minimum 2 years of patient care experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including: Pivot Tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP INDEX/MATCH Charts and graphs Data validation Conditional formatting Dashboard development Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with electronic health records (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.). Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Power BI or Tableau. Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics and regulatory standards. Experience supporting nursing leadership or quality improvement initiatives. Familiarity with Lean Healthcare, Six Sigma, or performance improvement methodologies.
