Role Description The Elementary School Teacher will design and deliver standards-based instruction to elementary students in an inclusive, engaging classroom setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and implementing lessons, assessing student progress, differentiating instruction, and maintaining a positive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families, participate in grade-level and school-wide initiatives, and adhere to district policies and state educational guidelines. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Harper Woods, MI, and may include supervision of students during non-instructional times, participation in professional development, and contribution to school events. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in Teaching and Elementary Education to support effective, age-appropriate instruction. Ability in Curriculum Development and Education to plan, implement, and refine standards-based learning experiences. Strong Communication skills to engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and build partnerships with families and the community. Relevant state teaching certification for elementary education or eligibility to obtain such certification. Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; advanced degree in education or a specialized content area is beneficial. Experience working with diverse student populations and implementing inclusive, culturally responsive practices. Proficiency in using educational technology and data to inform instruction and support student learning.
