Finance Lead Analyst

Title: Lead Finance Analyst (FP&A) Company: Peoples Gas System Location: Tampa, Florida Shift: 8-Hour, 5 Days (4 days onsite and 1 day remote) Responsibilities Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities including budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning. Perform financial modeling, variance analysis, and trend analysis to support business decisions. Partner with business leaders as a finance business partner to drive performance and accountability. Develop and deliver monthly financial reporting and executive‑level insights . Support capital planning, O&M budgeting, and cost optimization initiatives . Analyze financial data to identify risks, opportunities, and operational efficiencies . Provide recommendations that support strategic decisions and regulatory compliance . Improve financial processes, reporting tools, and data accuracy. Success Metrics Accurate, timely budgets and forecasts trusted by business leaders. Clear financial insights that shape operational and capital decisions. Strong partnerships with operations, strategy, regulatory, and finance teams. Proactive identification of risks, opportunities, and cost‑control strategies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from a regionally accredited college/university. 5+ years of accounting/financial experience or other relevant experience. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint . Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment. Sound judgment, attention to detail, and comfort working with senior leaders. Preferred Qualifications CPA (active or in progress). Experience with systems such as SAP , PowerPlan , and/or workk management. Knowledge of utility operations, utility accounting, or regulatory environments. Skills That Will Help You Thrive Financial modeling & variance analysis. Cost control & profitability analysis.
