Labor And Delivery Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to laboring mothers in the Labor and Delivery (LDRP) setting, supporting obstetricians and healthcare team members to deliver safe and effective patient care. Utilize technical skills, patient interaction, and adherence to policies to ensure optimal outcomes during labor, delivery, and postpartum processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist obstetricians and healthcare providers in executing clinical procedures within the LDRP environment.
• Monitor fetal and maternal conditions through attentive assessments and advanced fetal monitoring techniques.
• Educate and support patients and their families, fostering cooperation and confidence throughout labor and delivery.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, privacy, and healthcare regulations.
• Mentor and train students and junior staff to uphold clinical standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and clinical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• Proven competency in fetal monitoring and obstetric procedures.
• Strong communication and patient advocacy skills.
