As a full-time nightshift employee, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team and provide exceptional care to expecting mothers and their newborns. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers and their newborns, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with delivery Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and their families about the labor and delivery process, postpartum care, and newborn care Monitor fetal heart rate and uterine contractions during labor to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby Perform assessments and provide interventions to manage pain and discomfort during labor Assist with postpartum care, including breastfeeding support, newborn assessments, and postpartum education Document all patient care activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations Qualifications Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse BLS and ACLS certifications Knowledge of labor and delivery procedures and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as needed WorkWise Healthcare Staffing offers competitive salaries and benefits, as well as opportunities for career growth and development.
