Job Description

This role operates turret and related sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce customized electrical enclosure boxes and metal components. You will work with brake presses, punch presses, lasers, and other fabrication tools to bend, punch, drill, and form sheet metal parts according to blueprints and quality standards in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate turret press and laser equipment to produce sheet metal parts according to production specifications and blueprints.

• Operate a brake press to bend and form metal parts; focus on running the machine rather than performing full setups.

• Use punch press, shear, shear press, drill press, and related fabrication equipment to complete metal enclosure boxes and components.

• Build metal enclosure boxes and metal boxes by bending, punching, and drilling parts to meet dimensional and quality requirements.

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand part dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication requirements.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience operating a turret press or laser in a production or fabrication environment.

• At least 1 year of experience with brake press, punch press, laser, or turret equipment.

• Ability to perform heavy lifting of materials and parts up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Experience working with sheet metal fabrication processes and production equipment.

• Basic inspection skills using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.

• Familiarity with Euromac and newer model Armada brake presses or similar equipment.

• Experience with shear, shear press, punch press, and drill press operations.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, first-shift position, typically working Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility equipped with large fans throughout the site to improve air circulation. You will work around sheet metal fabrication equipment such as turret presses, lasers, brake presses (including Euromac and newer Armada models), punch presses, shears, drill presses, and various inspection tools like calipers and micrometers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
