As part of the Parsons team supporting advanced radar capabilities development, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools and subject matter expertise in the areas of radar, modeling and simulation, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems. Working as part of our high-caliber, dynamic team, you will support the advancement of approaches to develop and implement new radar concepts within a laboratory environment. You’ll support technical coordination with internal and external organizations to address requirements definition, use case development, and subsystem integration. You’ll have an opportunity to influence the development of next-generation advanced radar capabilities that will include being part of a high-performing team that will research, design, develop, and collaborate across programs to achieve end-to-end solutions, providing new analytic, statistical, radio-frequency signal and visual analysis capabilities. Responsibilities:Provide engineering support to radar science and technology effortsLead the development of system architectures and the integration of software and hardware subsystemsLead and assist in meetings to negotiate solutions across subsystems and disciplines (software, hardware, modeling, and analysis) Manage and lead systems engineering Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)Requirements:Experience with systems engineering applied to ground- or air-based radar, communications, or RF systemsBS (STEM) w/ 3+ years of experienceExperience with all aspects of systems engineering, including developing, designing, allocating, and managing user and system-level requirements; calculating measures of performance and measures of effectiveness; leading the development of a system architecture; evaluating design tradeoffs; balancing technical risk between systems; defining and assessing interfaces; and providing oversight of verification and validation activitiesExperience in test and evaluation planningSystems engineering experience with radar/RF software and hardware subsystemsClearly communicates complex ideas and produces/presents clear, well-organized presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levelsThis position requires the selected candidate to hold an active Department of Defense Secret level security clearance, which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.Desired Qualifications:5+ years of experience in radar and/or other RF system design, development, engineering, test, evaluation, and data analysisObject-oriented programming knowledgeExperience with Matlab and C++ programmingExperience with DoD systems engineering processes and tools, including DOORS and DoDAFExperience developing systems architectures/frameworksExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams)Goal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work in a team environment, strong work ethic, and proactive in all manners related to the jobSecurity Clearance Requirement:An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.The Federal Solutions segment delivers resources to our US government customers that ensure the success of missions around the globe.
