General Farm Worker

The Employees will operate tractors with towed feeder wagons to feed cattle. Calving will start in February and continue through April. Employees will watch for health conditions of the newborn and administrate vaccines, pour on for routine care of the animals. Will operate vehicles designated for towing equipment such as feed carts, trailers and flatbeds. Employees will be responsible for minor repairs and routine maintenance of machinery, structures and grounds. Employees will also be hauling crops to contracted elevators. Cell phone usage is limited to business related calls only. NO TEXTING. No smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages during working hours. Employees must have valid drivers license or obtain one in 30 days. No Educational level required. Must have three months tractor driving experience with towed implements and computerized scales. Three months cattle experience is a must. Housing: Employer-provided (including mobile or range) Meals: Fully furnished kitchen provided. Workers will have access to grocery stores at least once per week. Transport: The employer will provide advance transportation for reasonable (most economical) common carrier or other transportation which conforms to the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) in bound transportation (if it is the prevailing practice). If not the prevailing practice, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation costs and subsistence to the employer's work site when the worker completes 50% of the work period Experience wanted: 3 months Must have valid drivers license or obtain one in 30 days.
