Senior Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Design (MEP Consulting) Houston Texas A respected and well established MEP consulting firm in the Houston area is looking to add a talented Mechanical Engineer with strong HVAC design experience to their team. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative group of engineers and designers working on a diverse portfolio of projects across multiple industries. The ideal candidate will be someone who enjoys solving complex design challenges, collaborating with a strong internal team, and having the opportunity to grow their technical skills and career. The team works on a variety of exciting projects including commercial facilities, education, healthcare, industrial, municipal, and other complex building environments. This role provides exposure to different project types while allowing engineers to take ownership of designs from concept through completion. What You'll Be Doing: Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial building projects Perform HVAC calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts Prepare construction documents, specifications, and design packages Collaborate with architects, clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams Coordinate HVAC designs with other MEP disciplines Participate in project meetings and provide technical input throughout the design process Assist with project reviews, quality control, and mentoring junior team members What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred 5+ years of HVAC design experience within an MEP consulting environment Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, codes, and industry standards Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD Experience with HVAC load calculation software (HAP, Trane TRACE, or similar) Understanding of ASHRAE standards and building design practices Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within a team environment PE license, EIT, or progress toward licensure is a plus Why Join: Work on a wide variety of challenging and interesting projects Join a team where engineers have a strong voice and ownership of their work Collaborative environment with experienced professionals Opportunity for long-term career growth and advancement Stable organization with a strong reputation in the industry Competitive compensation and benefits package If you are a Mechanical Engineer looking for your next opportunity with a team that values technical growth, collaboration, and quality engineering, we would like to connect. #J-18808-Ljbffr PTS Advance
