Job Description

Position Title: Packager

Wage: $20.50/Hour

Shift: 1st Shift


Hours: 05:30 AM - 04:30 PM

Join our production team and help create high-quality dairy products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role includes packaging, labeling, box making, hand boxing, and assisting with production operations while maintaining safety and quality standards. Candidates should be dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable working in a hot environment with flexible scheduling and overtime as needed.

Packager Responsibilities:
- Responsible that product is ran to specification ensuring the highest quality and help perform root cause analysis on all quality defects
- Be able to accurately complete all of the required daily documentation
- Have an understanding of the equipment in the back of the line. Be able to use it on a daily basis and make adjustments when needed. (taper, labeler)
- Have the ability to hand box
- Inspect cheese for visual accuracy
- Count accurately and read digital scales
- Removed packaged cheese and place in box
- Use approved box cutters with retractable blades to open boxes
- Assist in supporting a safe and healthful work environment for all personnel through consistent support of the company's Safety Process
- Understanding of all plant GMP's
- Perform routine quality checks
- Hold yourself and team members accountable
- Must be able to work flexible hours; overtime


Requirements For Packager:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl for up to 9 hour
- Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls for up to 9 hours
- Ability to work in multiple areas of the plant and work in a cool environment (50-55 degrees)
- Must be able to lift 40-60 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Must have excellent vision, distant and peripheral, with the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience of 1-2 years in Manufacturing position
- Quality focused- able to follow all personal and food safety requirements
- Outstanding attendance record and team focus to meet and exceed customer expectations
