Ideal Candidate Strong communication skills Compassionate and empathetic Team‑oriented Exceptional customer service skills At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant Job Responsibilities Use sound judgment when making decisions about patient care Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies Maintain high standards of patient care Communicate clearly with veterinarians, other staff, and clients to ensure patients receive the care they need Remain friendly and flexible amid varying client and coworker expectations Multi‑task, prioritize tasks effectively, and think creatively Provide patient and client comfort by keeping the hospital clean and presentable Withstand unpleasant odors and noises May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases Career Growth Opportunities Access a comprehensive learning library (ThriveU), live virtual workshops, a program to learn the fundamentals of running a pet hospital, and the chance to earn AVMA‑CVTEA accreditation through a fully accredited distance‑learning veterinary technician program.
