Bus Drivers

Job Summary: Provide safe transportation for district students to and from various destinations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate vehicle responsibly at all times.
Complete inspection of the school bus as prescribed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania including clearing obstructions and wiping lenses of lights. Reports all irregularities to the yard person.
Maintain student discipline on the bus according to school bus rules. Reports infractions to the Building Principal and the Supervisor of Transportation.
Maintain school bus routing schedule.
Safely operate all equipment provided within aschool bus, including all doors, windows, emergency equipment, radios, read and understand gauge indicators, operate standard shift and automatic transmissions, exc.
Attend in-service workshops and other department meetings scheduled by Director of Transportation.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

You MUST have a valid Pennsylvania CDL Driver's License with Passenger (P) and Student (S) endorsement with air break restriction lifted. Willing to train a PA CDL Driver's License holder for (S) and (P) endorsement and air break restriction lifted.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Driving record must be free of tickets and accidents.
