Full-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Serve as an Assistant Manager to support the overall operation of a Cinemark theatre. You will ensure policies and procedures are followed, maintain operational standards, and provide inspirational training across all departments. The role offers a clear advancement path to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager, or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and a minimum of six months on the job. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager and support decision‑making and communication with staff. Work in all departments, performing all theatre job functions. Train and coach team members in their specific job functions. Assist with administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, signage, and equipment condition. Report needed building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager. Ensure team members follow the dress code. Interact with guests to improve service and ensure superior customer experience. Learn and enforce Cinemark’s policies and procedures fairly and consistently. Report all employee‑relations issues to the General Manager and adhere to the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol. Maintain high work‑ethic standards and conduct across all management members. Identify and sanitize high‑contact employee and guest areas. Properly use Personal Protective Equipment for position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Address safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, or suspicious persons. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements At least 18 years of age. High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred. Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Basic food handling training and any required local/state certifications, health card, or food handler permit. Safe Alcohol Service training for managers who handle alcohol. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during shifts. Excellent guest service skills. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Strong verbal and written communication with all ages, genders, and personalities. Proficiency in English, both speaking and comprehension. Team‑player and independent worker with the ability to take and follow direction. Sense of urgency and high level of organization. Time management and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Conflict resolution skills. Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre. Moderate to high noise levels at times. Standing for extended periods of time.
