Riverside Walter Reed Hospital in Gloucester, VA, is seeking a dedicated Anesthesiologist for a day-only position with an excellent work-life balance. This role offers the opportunity to join a nonprofit, short-term acute care facility that is part of the Riverside Health System, providing comprehensive care to the community. The position features a favorable 2 weeks on, 1 week off schedule with no call responsibilities, allowing for ample personal time. Practice Info Nonprofit, short-term acute care facility with 67 beds 24-hour emergency service and a 12,000-square-foot intensive care unit Direct access to Riverside Regional Medical Center's Level II trauma center, a nationally recognized Heart Center, and an 18-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Case assignments include Endo, Ortho, Ophthalmology, General, Urology, Vascular, GYN, ENT Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtain and/or verify patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $450,000 Sign-On Bonus Incentives: $100,000 Training Assistance & Loan Repayment Options Benefits 17 weeks off (flexible depending upon staffing model) Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts 401(k)/Profit sharing Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule 2 weeks on and 1 week off Days only/no call Requirements M.D./D.O.
