About the Position

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: IR Technologist Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification, Fluoroscopy Must-Have: Experience with coronary procedures, balloon pumps, and impella. Familiarity with peripheral and coronary circulatory experience. Experience with Merge system is a bonus. Description: The position requires experience in a fast-paced environment with critical care patients. The technologist will assist in a variety of procedures, specifically focusing on interventional radiology techniques. Average cases per day range from 15 to 20. Familiarity with equipment such as laser, rotablator, nitric oxide, IVUS, Impella, IABP, FFR, and angiojet is beneficial. Candidates must be comfortable working in a setting that receives critically ill patients. A charge nurse is present during the day shift, with a designated charge nurse available after hours. There is a call requirement with a response time of 30 minutes. Scrubs will be provided in a teal blue color. Pharmacy services are available 24/7. No floating to other units is required. Candidates will undergo 1 to 2 days of specific unit orientation. This position requires a commitment to completing all necessary modules prior to arrival. Failure to complete the modules on time may result in a delay in the start date. Cancellation policies allow for up to 4 shifts to be canceled during the assignment. The position is suited for individuals who have the required certifications and can operate effectively in high-pressure situations.
