Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in New Orleans, Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - Operating Room with required experience in robotics, neuro, plastics, and ortho surgery for a day shift assignment requiring an active LA or compact RN license.Details\n \n Operating Room unit setting\n Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM\n Rotating weekend call and late call until 7pm Monday-Thursday, plus Friday night call rotation\n Weekend and holiday coverage required\n May float to other surgical specialties\n Epic charting system used\n Requirements\n \n Active LA RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration\n BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred\n Minimum 2 years of experience required\n Required experience in Robotics, Neuro, Plastics, and Ortho surgery\n Cardiovascular surgery experience preferred\n Epic charting experience required\n Prior travel nursing experience required\n At least two recent manager references required\n Any license history issues must be disclosed along with a personal statement\n Additional Information\n \n Perform circulating and/or scrub duties across multiple surgical specialties including Gynecology, Plastics, Neurology, Cardiovascular, General Surgery, Orthopedics, and Robotics\n Pre-start facility training modules required, ranging from 5-8 hours for RNs\n First-time travelers will not be considered for this role\n Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate\n Radius rule of 75 miles applies\n Former permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-753404.
