Junior Designer, Men's Footwear at Tecovas

The role Tecovas is hiring a Junior Designer for men's footwear to support its Product Design team. The role reports directly to the Design Director. It must be based in Austin, Texas, so candidates need to live in the area or be willing to relocate. What you'll do Support the design team in turning seasonal direction and trend research into fresh, globally relevant concepts Assist with upper designs, outsoles, trims and embellishments that fit the Tecovas aesthetic Produce illustrations, CADs and tech packs in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Work with cross-functional teams on pricing, timelines and brand goals Help manage projects from concept to final execution and meet deadlines Take part in prototype reviews and update tech packs in response to feedback Maintain and add to a digital asset library of swatches, components and templates Keep inspiration, samples and prototypes organised Travel internationally and attend trade shows and events when needed Experience we're looking for Bachelor's degree in Footwear Design, Fashion Design or Industrial Design, or equivalent experience One to three years of relevant footwear design experience preferred, but not required Proficient at creating CADs, tech packs and technical drawings Familiarity with 3D design software is a plus Bonus points for experience in leather goods and an understanding of Western lifestyle or culture What you bring A passion for product design and craftsmanship, especially leather and footwear Detail-oriented, organised and driven to meet deadlines Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time Excellent communication skills and able to present your ideas clearly What's on offer Health insurance with 79 to 90% of premiums covered, plus 100% of dental and vision cover for family and dependants 401(k) match Paid parental leave Flexible paid time off Corporate wellness programme Eligibility for the Corporate Bonus Programme Employee discounts The process The process may include phone interviews, virtual \"on-site\" interviews and mock on-the-job exercises Offers may be conditional on standard onboarding procedures The application asks about your location or willingness to relocate to Austin and whether you need visa sponsorship The details Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 a year, depending on experience Contract: full-time Location: Austin, Texas; you must be based in Austin or willing to relocate Level: junior #J-18808-Ljbffr Creative Boom Ltd.
