Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Description The Senior Cloud Engineer is a key member of the infrastructure team responsible for leading the design, implementation, governance, and optimization of cloud platforms and services. This role partners across infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable cloud solutions. The Senior Cloud Engineer serves as an escalation point for complex cloud issues, drives standards and automation, and ensures cloud environments align with business, security, and compliance requirements. • 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 5+ years in cloud engineering, cloud operations, or platform engineering roles.
• Proven experience designing and operating cloud environments in at least one major cloud platform (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) in a production enterprise setting.

• Strong working knowledge of: o Cloud identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, SSO, and privileged access practices o Cloud networking concepts (routing, segmentation, load balancing, private connectivity) o Observability (monitoring, logging, tracing) and incident response o Automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) and CI/CD practices o Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or native templating tools) o Security fundamentals (encryption, key management, secrets, patching, vulnerability remediation) • One or more advanced cloud certifications preferred (examples: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert; AWS Solutions Architect Professional). • Security or networking certifications related to cloud are a plus.
