Requirements:

This position is a full-time seasonal position with a variable schedule; the ability to work day and evenings according to the needs of the program is required; Monday - Friday and able to commit to the entire summer season

This position requires work that occurs both indoors and outside on a regular basis; handling of cleaning products and agents is required

This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress; all candidates must be prepared and capable of adapting to such conditions and be mentally alert at all times

A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and fellow Team members

CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment

Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

State Specific Licensing Requirements **CCR 7.712.42:

"This individual must be at least 18 years of age"

"Must have at least three (3) months (460 hours) of full-time or equivalent part-time satisfactory and verifiable experience with school-age children"

Basic Responsibilities:

Leading a group of campers through their camp experiences

Developing youth friendships to ensure each child is connected to their camp community

Completing daily opening and closing procedures, as well as safety logs

Daily written and verbal communication with Camp parents, team members, club members, and Program Director

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the specific needs of the campers in your care and communicate safety or behavior concerns with appropriate parties

Ensure each area of the club utilized by the camp is clean, safe, and in good repair
