Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive patient care in the Cardiac Stepdown unit, adhering to state nursing regulations and hospital policies. The RN will oversee patient assessments, deliver medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and execute patient care plans specific to cardiac stepdown patients.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and respond to patient needs promptly.
• Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shift, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain confidential health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to adjust treatment plans as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Maine RN license.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications, or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Bring previous telemetry or cardiac stepdown experience preferred.
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Exhibit flexibility in scheduling and multitasking abilities.
