Water/Wastewater Engineer (Industrial NPDES)

Hybrid | Direct hire. Oxford Solutions is working with an engineering firm seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer with 4–7 years of experience to support industrial and municipal water projects. This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work schedule.

This role focuses heavily on industrial NPDES-related work, including water intake and discharge permitting and compliance, supporting clients such as power plants, steel manufacturing facilities, and mission-critical/data center operations.

Responsibilities:

Assist in water and wastewater process and pipeline design projects for industrial and municipal clients
Support civil engineering design and calculations for water, wastewater, and stormwater components associated with new development, modifications, or remediation projects
Contribute to technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, and development of technical plans
Prepare and complete permit applications for regulatory processing, including industrial NPDES permits
Perform field work such as water sampling, site inspections, and construction administration support, including field observation reports
Prepare engineering plans and drawings using AutoDesk Civil 3D

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Environmental or Civil Engineering from an accredited college
Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT working towards PE
4–7 years of relevant water/wastewater engineering experience, including industrial NPDES related tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing
Demonstrated commitment to quality work, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
Proficiency with AutoCAD
