Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Production Lead to support daily operations within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on working lead role responsible for assisting with production activities while helping guide a small team to meet daily output and quality goals.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting and some experience leading or supporting a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Shift: 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:30pm
- Schedule: Monday – Friday(Must be available to work weekends as needed)
- Pay Rate: $21-$23/Hr DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily production operations by working alongside team members on the production floor
- Assist in coordinating workflow to ensure production goals and deadlines are met
- Help train and guide team members on basic processes and work instructions following SOP’s
- Monitor product quality and report any issues to supervisors
- Maintain quality standards while performing regular inspections and monitoring KPI’s
- Conduct and document QA Hourly checks
- Troubleshooting, ability to resolve light machine malfunctions
- Ensure team members follow safety guidelines and company policies
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including output, downtime, and other relevant data. Generate and submit daily.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production updates, delays, or concerns
- Read and follow basic work orders (WO) and production instructions
- Assist with machine operation (such as wrapping or packaging equipment) as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production
- Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience working with blow molding or plastic injection
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
- Ability to work around machinery and in varying temperatures
- Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to operate tools, equipment, or machinery
- Ability to wear required PPE (gloves, safety glasses, etc.)
