Overview MSA is seeking to add a Total Rewards Analyst to our HR Team. This role plays a critical, behind-the-scenes role in shaping MSA's Total Rewards strategy. This position is primarily focused on compensation administration, analysis, and reporting, serving as a key analytical partner to HR leadership. Who are we looking for? This role can be either our Baraboo, Madison, Dubuque or Milwaukee offices with a flexible work environment. That means when you join our team, you're not just doing a job - you're building your legacy and sharing in the success of the firm. * A Culture of Mentorship and Collaboration: Work alongside a talented, cross-disciplinary team that values mentorship, professional development, and team success. * A flex time program that empowers you to manage your schedule - because life doesn't always fit inside 9 to 5 * A flexible work environment, including hybrid and remote options where possible, to support your productivity and well-being Responsibilities What you will do: Compensation * Administer and maintain compensation programs, including salary structures, job architecture, and pay ranges aligned with Total Rewards strategy. * Lead data preparation, validation, and analysis for the annual compensation cycle (merit, market adjustments). * Conduct internal equity and market analyses to support consistent, competitive pay decisions. * Provide analytical support and recommendations for off-cycle compensation requests and pay decisions. * Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to evaluate compensation changes and program impacts. * Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR leaders by delivering compensation insights and structured recommendations. * Collaborate with external compensation consultants to interpret market data and inform salary grade structures. Incentives & Total Rewards Reporting * Administer incentive programs, including bonus calculations, audits, and reporting outputs. * Develop Total Rewards reporting and statements that quantify and communicate program value for leadership use. Benefits Analysis & Administration * Analyze benefits utilization, cost trends, and plan performance to support design recommendations. * Conduct financial and impact analysis for new or revised benefit offerings. * Support benefits administration processes, including open enrollment system setup and testing. * Partner with vendors and brokers to resolve complex issues and evaluate performance. * Administer benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, etc) Compliance & Data Integrity * Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA). * Partner with HRIS to maintain data accuracy and optimize compensation and benefits system functionality. * Develop recurring and ad hoc reports that support executive and HR decision-making. Qualifications What you bring: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience supporting compensation, benefits, HR analytics, or Total Rewards programs. * Strong knowledge of compensation practices, including market pricing, salary structure design, and pay equity analysis. * Experience analyzing and administering benefits programs, with exposure to self-funded plans and ESOP environments preferred. * Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret trends and build data-driven recommendations. * Experience working within HRIS systems and collaborating across teams to enhance Total Rewards processes. * Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and problem-solving abilities. * CCP or CBP certification is a plus. * The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future. The salary for this position ranges from $79,081 to $126,500 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.
