Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting for patients up to 25 years of age
• Perform and interpret EKG/ECG rhythm recognition and administer inotropes as required
• Support epilepsy monitoring and deliver specialized care across all applicable pediatric age groups
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday
• Accurately document and submit hours worked using the designated timekeeping system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in PICU or relevant pediatric specialty (travel experience may be considered for pediatric experience requirement)
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of submission (no pending certifications accepted)
• Experience with EKG interpretation and inotrope administration
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment within the past 12 months
• No open background or license hits; background review required prior to placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS certification preferred
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric or critical care environment
• Familiarity with pre-start module completion processes in a travel or contract nursing setting
