Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift

Location: Hartford, CT

Pay: $70,000–$80,000 per year

Shift: 2nd Shift

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

A manufacturing company in Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead 2nd shift operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will oversee production employees, ensure daily schedules and quality standards are met, and maintain a safe, efficient, and productive shop floor.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and support production employees on 2nd shift.
Coordinate daily production activities to meet schedules, quality requirements, and productivity goals.
Monitor workflow, staffing, equipment, and material availability to minimize downtime and production delays.
Enforce company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Review production performance and address issues affecting quality, efficiency, or delivery.
Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and other departments to resolve production issues.
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and employee documentation.
Coach employees on performance, attendance, safety, and adherence to company procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and overall shop-floor efficiency.

Qualifications

3+ years of manufacturing or production supervisory experience.
Experience leading a team in a production/manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling, and workflow.
Ability to read and understand production documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work 2nd shift and effectively manage a team independently.
Experience in a regulated or industrial manufacturing environment is a plus.

Compensation

$70,000–$80,000 annually , based on experience.
