Job Title: Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA)
Job Description

Join our team as a Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice, where you will combine electronic, mechanical, computer, and automation engineering skills at the workplace. In this full-time, permanent position located in CITY, STATE, you will work with complex high-performance manufacturing systems. You will learn to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair systems to maintain process efficiency, ensuring safety regulations and policies are adhered to, and assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
  • Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
  • Ability to move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
Essential Skills
  • High School Diploma
  • 1+ years of PC software experience including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Vocational/technical training or an associate degree or above, or 1+ years of Reliability Maintenance Engineering experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
  • Knowledge of mathematics.
  • Experience in measurement reading and interpretation.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • 4+ years of military experience.
  • Experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Experience implementing safety standards.
  • Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.

Work Environment

You will be paired with journey workers to carry out your work at various facilities, including high automation and robotics facilities in connection with service operations. Expect a dynamic work environment that requires adherence to safety regulations, with opportunities to work collaboratively with upstream and downstream operations partners.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.84 - $26.94/hr.
