Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Journeyman Welder/Fabricator in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of materials, including specialty alloys.

Fabricate, fit, and assemble complex components from blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

Weld and fabricate components using nickel alloys and other specialty metals while maintaining strict quality standards.

Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly.

Lay out, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding.

Inspect welds and fabricated components to verify compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements.

Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, presses, ironworkers, and other shop machinery.

Perform repairs, modifications, and custom fabrication projects as required.

Accurately document production activities and completed work.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production schedules and customer expectations.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Promptly report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.

Qualifications:

Journeyman Welder certification or equivalent combination of education and extensive fabrication experience.

Experience welding and fabricating with specialty alloys is required; nickel alloy experience is highly preferred.

Strong proficiency in TIG welding; MIG and Stick welding experience preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.

Experience fabricating structural and precision components to tight tolerances.

Proficient with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.

Strong understanding of welding procedures, metallurgy, and fabrication best practices.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
