Overview Registered Nurse - Rehab travel position in Rochester, New York. Start date: 09/14/2026 for an approximate 17-week assignment. Shifts are 12 hours, with 8- and 12-hour options per unit policy and day/evening/night rotations, including holidays and weekends as required by unit policy. Weekly pay ranges from $2,183 to $2,232. This travel assignment focuses on Acute Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine, caring for a wide mix of pediatric and adult patients with complex conditions, including stroke, brain injury, SCI, trauma, orthopedic, neuro, oncology, pediatric cases, solid organ transplant, heart failure, and other medically complex diagnoses. Recent pediatric experience is preferred. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,183 – $2,232 per week Contract duration: 17 weeks Start date: 09/14/2026 Schedule: 12-hour shifts; 8- and 12-hour options; day/evening/night rotations; holidays/weekends per unit policy Location: Rochester, New York Setting: Acute Rehabilitation and Physical Medicine unit on a travel, temporary assignment Responsibilities Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for adult and pediatric patients with complex conditions, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and clinical status; administer prescribed medications and therapies; perform wound care and IV therapy as needed Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and therapeutic activities in collaboration with PT/OT/SLP and other specialists Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement care plans, reassess progress, and adjust interventions accordingly Document care in the electronic medical record; participate in discharge planning and family teaching Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and ensure patient safety and comfort Requirements Active New York State Registered Nurse license BLS certification (American Heart Association) Telemetry experience requiredMinimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience Able to work day/evening/night shifts on 8- or 12-hour schedules Pediatric experience preferred Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
